winner notification (s)

Linda Alvarado Nov 05, 2013 12:46PM EST

Hello,

I have two questions please:

1). Do you ever contact winners by postal mail? I received a document stating I had won a cash prize, and to call for verification. Not sure if it was Sweepstakes.com or a scam.

2). I can only afford a small amount of minutes on my prepaid cell phone. If I won, and you could not contact me by phone, would you try to email me instead? (Or would I lose my cash prize?)

Thank you,

Linda Alvarado

Hi ,

Thanks for contacting us. We notify all winners by email and/or telephone at the end of the sweepstakes. That email will contain your instructions about claiming your winnings.

**BE SURE TO ADD win@sweepstakes.com to your address book!

I received a phone call from Sweepstakes.com. I answered the questions and was advised that i had won a $100 gift card to be used at any department store i would like. Then, i was told it would cost me $4.95 for shipping & activation fee upon receipt of the card. The guy then kept pressing me for my credit card number, after i explained i did not feel comfortable giving my card number without having something in my hands representing you. He chose to ignore that and still kept pressing me for a credit card number. I hung up. Was this real?
